About Us

For over two decades, words have been my craft — from writing an outdoor column in more than 70 newspapers, to penning poems, short stories, and theme songs that celebrate life in the woods, on the water, and under the open sky.

The first piece I wrote was in 2005, riding in a truck bound for Montana to film for an outdoor television show, Freedom Outdoors. That was my first poem, A Bowhunter’s Dream — a piece that would later earn an Editor’s Choice Award in 2012 from Poetry.com. In 2009 I released a cd of poems and stories titled, ‘Rhymin’ Huntin Poems’. In 2014, I wrote the theme song for Huntin is Good TV on the Sportsman Channel with award-winning songwriter Cole Taylor. I then penned theme songs for the Farmin is Good brand(2017)- sung by my wife, Ryn Crider and Guthrie’s Chicken radio jingle(2020), the latter alongside singer/songwriter Reece Phillips. I also spent nearly four years in Nashville writing songs and stories that always circled back to one thing: a deep love for the outdoors.

That passion sparked the idea for ^™Cardiak — a greeting card company built on love, God, and the heartbeat of the wild.

Whether it’s a turkey hunter’s birthday, a deer hunter’s father’s day gift, or a heartfelt, bass fishing, holiday moment, Cardiak captures it in print.

Every card is inspired by real moments, real passion, and a real belief in God’s creation.

It’s not just paper — it’s a piece of the outdoor heartbeat.
